This Week in the Garden

This weekend was all about gardening with the two smallest helpers and still managing to get some REAL gardening done.  My husband had his heart set on planting hundreds of potatoes.  They dug up the area between the polytunnel and the kitchen garden. He had a dedicated 4 year old assistant.

She helped with digging compost and planting the potato seeds.

I had a very conscientious 2 year old helper who helped fill (read: over filled) seed trays with compost.

We managed to get quite a few seeds planted despite her help. We also did get the potatoes planted eventually.

What I remember most about this weekend in the garden is that we had a wonderful day with our two smallest children. Days like these are the ones to cherish.
